Clubs on Campus: H.O.T. Club

As the 2015-2016 school year begins, Bear Creek’s clubs are back in action.  Presidents of the The H.O.T. (Helping Others Today) club are seniors Sarah Seybold and Abigail Aragon.  This club is community service based and involves itself in a variety of organizations, but the club has designated most of their community work to foreign countries.  H.O.T. club plans to donate money to countries that suffer from poverty and lack of water.  Seybold and Aragon plan to do on campus fundraisers like selling pizza for $1 after school.  Profits will then go toward club fees and donated to foreign countries in need.  Other organizations that H.O.T. will be helping include the 50 Shades of Pink: Every Ribbon Tells A Story event. On October 16, student members will be given the opportunity to gain volunteer hours by serving food, setting up decorations, and cleaning up at the new Delta college event.  50 Shades of Pink was created by a 2011 Bear Creek alumni Brandon Jordan who hopes to benefit the American Cancer society by funding for further research and treatment.  H.O.T. members look forward to more opportunities to help those in need.
