After losing consecutive games, on Thursday, October 22, Bear Creek’s varsity boys and junior varsity boys soccer team got itself back on track on senior night.

With adrenaline and excitement sparked by the audience and teammates on the sideline, the Bruins began their playoff .

The game started off with a streak of intense defense. By halftime, Stagg scored their first and final goal from a break-away.  

With the second-half clock ticking away, Bear Creek’s varsity coach Carlos Rivas made the decision to put in all senior players.

After a Stagg player kicked senior forward Ryan Cordova in the stomach, Cordova was granted a penalty kick allowing senior center midfielder Enrique Castillo to score Bear Creek’s only goal of the night.

Bear Creek ended the varsity game with a final score of 1-1.  

Bear Creek’s junior varsity boys soccer team fended off better with a final score of 2-0.  Within the first 10 minutes of the game, the Bruins managed to score their first goal.

Ending the afternoon on a high note, Bear Creek’s soccer coaches and team recognized the seniors through an informal ceremony and chant.
