The Bruin Voice

Gwendolyn Poole
Once upon a time there was a senior girl named Gwendolyn — oh, wait, that’s me! Gwendolyn Poole here and this is my second year writing for the Bruin Voice. You may have read several of my (ultra) conservative articles. I am very involved in sports, and you can catch me at cross country meets, wrestling matches, and swim competitions - come support! When I'm not sitting in uncomfortable, broken chairs at school, I enjoy baking, spending my last year with friends, reading, writing (duh), painting (if we're friends, you know that my favorite canvas is my nails), browsing through Pinterest for outfits I can never afford, hiking in beautiful picturesque places, decorating mugs, and making people smile. I love my animals especially my fat and bubbly cat, Jack, and all things vintage (I'm pretty sure I was born 70 years too late), Taylor Swift, and James Dean - shout out to old movie fans! After high school I’ll be making y’all proud by serving in the U.S. Army. Since joining journalism, I’ve become a better and more outspoken writer and I’m excited for senior year.
